// Tensegrity Chandelier Bella Hotel 2011

A tensegrity structure consists of a number of bars (compression members) connected by tensioned cables, organized in a way so that the bars do not touch each other. The tensegrity in Bella Hotel is designed as a light installation; the compression bars are aluminium rods with led lights attached, wrapped in translucent lamellas that diffuse the light. The project is created by architect 3XN, in cooperation with the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture. I was engineer on the project.
