I received my masters degree in civil engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (2001), and worked as a consultant in Ramboll. In 2006 I went back to DTU and wrote a Ph.D. thesis on plate shell structures of glass.

Today, I am the owner of Anne Bagger ApS - a small consultancy company that works in the areas of façade engineering, product development, thin plate steel, and the use of glass in buildings.

In addition to this, I teach at the Department of Civil Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark, and occasionally at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation - School of Architecture.

  • Glass in buildings, also as load carrying element (glass columns, fins, beams, insulating glass units, curved glass and more)
  • Façade engineering, especially structural issues, and moveable parts for solar shading.
  • Load bearing structures, especially steel and thin-plate steel
  • Minimal structures – structures with a minimal material consumption, where form follows force. Especially shell structures.
  • Product development. Use of new building materials and systems.
  • Patterns. Structural morphology. Structures in nature.
  • Communication of science in ways everybody can relate to
  • Sustainability, related to structures

In addition to this, I also work with treatment of stress and other related conditions.
